The Center For Credit & Consumer Research has developed a new and innovative tool for teaching financial literacy. The LIVE S³ Game Show is an interactive way to teach middle school and high students the knowledge and skills necessary for wise money management and career choices. Students receive prizes and candy throughout the show.

The LIVE S³ Game Show is an updated version of the Center’s LIVE Credit Card Game Show which has been presented numerous times in Northwest Pennsylvania and surrounding communities.

The LIVE S³ Game Show was revamped in partnership with Junior Achievement of Erie County. The LIVE S³ Game Show’s financial literacy material has been developed from Junior Achievement’s JA Economics for Success^®, NEFE High School Financial Planning Program, and Junior Achievement Presents: The NEFE High School Financial Planning Program™.

The S³ Game Show is designed to meet several objectives:

1. To stimulate students' interest in money management
2. To promote active participation in the learning process
3. To encourage students to translate this knowledge into behavior, i.e. in terms of making smart choices about saving, spending, and career success
4. To promote word-of-mouth among students about financial issues
5. To produce a high level of student enjoyment
